Australian expert: International rankings reflect Vietnam's economic, social progress

(VOVWORLD) -The strong growth momentum of Vietnam’s economy has been maintained and recognized in the latest Asian Development Outlook by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Professor Hal Hill, Emeritus Professor at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University (ANU) assessed Vietnam's socio-economic performance in 2024.

International rankings highlight Vietnam's impressive progress in both economic and social development, according to Professor Hal Hill, Vietnam is on track to soon become a "high-income economy."

Layton Pike, a member of the Australia-Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI)'s advisory board, emphasized that balancing regional and global relations is a standout feature of Vietnam’s foreign policy.

In 2024, Vietnam and Australia elevated their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Pike assessed that following the leadership transition in 2024, Vietnam is set to continue navigating effectively through an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape in the years to come.
