In Kuwait, a suicide bomber blew himself up during Friday prayers at a Shiite mosque, killing at least 25 people and injuring around 200 others, while a man with suspected ties to French Islamic radicals rammed a car into a gas factory in southeastern France, triggering an explosion that injured two people. The severed head of a local businessman was left hanging at the factory’s entrance. It remains unclear is the three attacks in Tunisia, Kuwait and France were coordinated. The attacks took place just days after the Islamic State called on its supporters to conduct attacks during the Ramadan month. In its latest announcement, IS has admitted its responsibility for the attack at the Imperial Marhaba hotel in the beach resort Sousse in eastern Tunisia, killing a number of British and German tourists.
