The Government leader made this statement while addressing the virtual ASEAN-RoK Summit on Tuesday. Chinh says. 'First of all, we need to strengthen efforts to contain and eliminate the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the success of cooperation for people and prosperity. With the RoK’s plan to become a vaccine production centre in the region, the RoK and ASEAN need to actively coordinate to form an a COVID-19 vaccine supply chain, tapping the resources and the strengths of the two sides.'

ASEAN hopes to get support from the RoK to speed up the digital transformation process. This will help with the pandemic control and recovery process, he said.

PM Chinh suggested ASEAN and the RoK continue coordination and contribution efforts to cope with security threats in the region.
