(VOVworld) Participants at the ASEAN-Japanese youth festival 2013 got an opportunity to learn about different traditions through cultural spaces and activities of the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program, an exchange program for Japanese and ASEAN youth.

Attendees participated in folk games and a quiz on the culture and history of each nation. Vietnamese art troupes brought to the event special performances to help international friends gain a better understanding of Vietnam’s land and people. Nguyen Cao The of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, and head of the Vietnamese delegation said: "The Vietnamese delegation wants to introduce to international friends Vietnam’s culture and its people’s daily life and show hospitality towards our Japanese and ASEAN friends"
The festival opened in Ho Chi Minh city on Thursday, drawing more than 320 delegates representing 10 ASEAN countries.
