A Lao traditional dance performance |
The 3-day event introduced 200 pavilions of trade goods and food of ASEAN countries. During the closing ceremony, visitors enjoyed a folk dance performance. The Vietnam pavilion showcased culture of the Cham ethnic group. Van Quan Phu Doan, Director of the Champa Ceramics Company, which had products on display, said: “Visitors are interested in the cultural characteristics of the Cham people, such as the Cham sculpture. Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos share similarities with the Cham culture. Over the past days, we have promoted the essence of our ethnicity to visitors.”
Visitors were also treated to folk games, hands-on craft activities, a food festival, a tourism fair and a trade fair.
