In a recent interview granted to VOV’s correspondent in Indonesia, Satvinder Singh said Vietnam is one of the economies to have greatly contributed to the bloc’s stability and is a model for promoting economic liberalization and attracting qualified foreign direct investment (FDI).
“Clearly, Vietnam is one of the strongest contributors to ASEAN’s dynamic, resilient economic positioning as you see today. The rest of the world is watching ASEAN quite enviously,” said Satvinder Singh.
He added, “There’s a huge amount of economic disruptions happening. I think despite economic challenges the whole world is confronting first with COVID and subsequently right now political economic challenges coming from Europe which are bringing both inflation and supply disruptions and affecting all our lives in the world.”
Singh said Vietnam is showing other ASEAN members what it takes to transform its economy and what to do to become relevant regionally and globally. Vietnam is good at making the most of the integration process, he added.
