In his address, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc said the event reflects ASEAN’s efforts to fight against COVID-19 and strong commitment for ASEAN. This is an important forum to connect colleagues, friends, and families within the ASEAN and with its partners in Hanoi in order to strengthen friendship and cooperation.

A cycling activity was held after the opening ceremony drawing more than 200 delegates. During the festival, art performances, sports competitions, folk games and culinary events will be held.
