(VOVworld) - 10 ASEAN Ambassadors to Russia gathered on Thursday to attend the “ASEAN Day” in Moscow.

Brunei Ambassador Haini Hashim, who is the current Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Moscow for a 6-month term, highlighted ASEAN’s important role in developing a peaceful and stable Southeast Asian region towards the establishment of an ASEAN Community by 2015. Mr. Haini Hashim said enhancing cooperation with ASEAN will benefit Russia and that ASEAN countries attached importance to developing this relationship. The program also featured traditional cuisine and art performances by ASEAN member countries.
