The committee was established on November 6 under the acceptance of ASEAN Foreign Ministers, the letter of approval by ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh and other relevant regulations. The Vietnamese Embassy chaired the committee’s first meeting, which was attended by chief representatives of diplomatic corps and foreign ministries of ASEAN countries in the Netherlands. At the working session, participants agreed on the committee’s orientations and activities which aim to promote ASEAN’s image in the Netherlands and consolidate the friendship between the bloc and the host country.
