Mr. Chinh suggested that China continue to strengthen international cooperation in disease control, especially with COVID-19, to maintain a peaceful and stable environment, and to promote sustainable development. He also suggested that ASEAN and China quickly restore the region's production and supply chains, facilitate the safe movement of people, encourage investment, and trade exchange to boost economic recovery.
PM Chinh said that ASEAN and China are committed to cooperating for peace, security and stability through trust-building, preventive diplomacy, and the peaceful settlement of disputes in line with the law.
The PM said he hopes that China will support ASEAN’s central role in strengthening strategic trust and creating a friendly environment for development.
ASEAN will work with China to implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC) and promote the early completion of the Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC) in accordance with international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea for a peaceful, stable East Sea.
PM Chinh affirmed that Vietnam supports promoting and elevating the ASEAN-China strategic partnership. It will coordinate with other countries to organize the upcoming summit to celebrate the 30th anniversary between ASEAN and China.
