ASEAN Chair 2022: Cambodia stresses COC’s urgency

(VOVWORLD) - Cambodia, as ASEAN Chair 2022, will strengthen ASEAN’s central role in solving emerging geopolitical issues and strategic conflicts to maintain peace, security, and prosperity.

At a press conference on Cambodia’s priorities as 2022 ASEAN Chair  on Wednesday, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation PrakSokhon said the signing and implementation of the Code of Conduct is an urgency.

Cambodia will strengthen multilateralism and equality based on laws, and will organize a ceremony to celebrate 20 years of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), he said.
