(VOVworld) - A workshop was held in Buenos Aires on Wednesday to bolster cooperation between ASEAN countries and the port city of Madryn, Argentina.

The workshop was organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina. Vietnam is the current chair of ASEAN in Argentina.

At the workshop, Madryn’s Mayor Ricardo Sastre said he hopes to increase trade, industry, investment, tourism, sports, and culture cooperation with ASEAN partners.

Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Dinh Thao proposed establishing friendship city relationships between Madryn and ASEAN cities to boost cultural exchanges and invited Madryn’s businesses to attend the Vietnam International Trade Fair in 2017.
