Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will preside over these summits because Vietnam is the ASEAN Chair for 2020, Ms. Hang said at a press briefing in Hanoi on Thursday.

Ms. Hang said the summits will strengthen Vietnam’s role as ASEAN Chair, enhance the spirit of regional cohesion and proactive response, and promote ASEAN as a strong, resilient, and united community.
