The exhibition, co-organized by the National Archives Center 1 and the Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, features three themes “The Old Gates”, “The Gates of Victory”, and “Hanoi’s Gates Today”.
“The Old Gates” section introduces the history of the formation of Hanoi’s Gates, including their architecture, roles and functions.
“The Gates of Victory” recounts the historic moments when the People's Army of Vietnam and the soldiers of the Capital Regiment marched to Hanoi through city gates in October, 1954.
“Hanoi’s Gates Today” highlights the development of Hanoi after 70 years since the capital’s liberation.
Hanoi won UNESCO’s title "City for Peace" in 1999, and was recognized as a member of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network in 2019.
