Vu Duc Giang said the sector has grown strongly despite global challenges such as geopolitical tensions, fluctuating oil prices, volatile freight rates, slow economic recovery, climate change, and energy security issues.

This year, Vietnam's textile and garment exports are expected to hit 44 billion USD, up 11% from 2023, leading to a trade surplus of 19 billion USD. The US remains Vietnam’s largest export market with a turnover of 16.7 billion USD.

Giang announced that VITAS’s 25th founding anniversary will take place in Quang Nam province in the middle of next month.
