The first priority is to develop and produce enough safe and effective FDA-approved vaccines and therapeutics for use in the US, Azar told reporters during a visit to Chinese Taiwan on Monday.

Once those needs are satisfied, the products will be made available to the world community according to a fair and equitable distribution, he said.
