(VOVworld)- Iraq's allies pledged support for Baghdad's plan to retake the city of Ramadi from Islamic State jihadists, said US Deputy Secretary of State Anthony Blinken after a meeting of foreign ministers from the US-led coalition in Paris on Tuesday.

(VOVworld)- Iraq's allies pledged support for Baghdad's plan to retake the city of Ramadi from Islamic State jihadists, said US Deputy Secretary of State Anthony Blinken after a meeting of foreign ministers from the US-led coalition in Paris on Tuesday.

Mr. Blinken hailed Iraq’s plan saying it is proper and suitable to Iraq’s present situation. Blinken added Iraq has found the right strategy, a combination of air strikes, training and effective global partners.

Meanwhile, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said that the fight against IS will be a long-term war and affirmed the coalition’s determination to defeat IS
