Nguyen Tan Khoi, deputy chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s Sponsor Council said a wide range of activities will be held this year to encourage more people to donate blood:

“We hope to increase the number of blood donors in rural areas, particularly in small districts and towns, where there have already been some effective blood donation programs. We must increase communications to make people feel more involved.”

This year’s National Blood Donation Drive aims to collect 30,000 blood units.
