Organizers recounted the heroic struggle of the Trung Sisters and other heroes to expel invaders and bring independence to the country.

For the first time, the story of the uprising was told with the help of 3D mapping technology, a new technique destined to become a common form of cultural and artistic presentation.

Other activities included a parade, cultural and art performances, folk games, and sports competitions.
