Merkel used her CDU party's Twitter account to congratulate the SPD for its "clear result", saying that she is looking forward to "further cooperation”. 66% of SPD members voted in favor of the coalition, which removed the last hurdle blocking Merkel's fourth term.  With the SPD's decision to block a new partnership, Merkel is expected to launch her fourth government by mid-March.
