(VOVworld) – The Christian Democrats (CDU) and their Bavarian sister party CSU have officially named Angela Merkel as their Chancellor candidate for September election.
Her main rival will be Social Democrat Martin Schulz. Last December CDU re-elected Mrs. Merkel as its President, priming her to run for her 4^th consecutive term.
