(VOVworld) – The An Giang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism held a ceremony yesterday to inaugurate a statue of President Ton Duc Thang at the provincial museum as part of activities to celebrate the President’s 124th birthday.

The 150-kilogram bronze statue was presented by Nguyen Hoang Viet, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee Organization Commission and former Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee. The same day, the province organized other activities, a reunion, and an awarding of Ton Duc Thang scholarships to disadvantaged students.
