(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam Electricity (EVN) announced that by the end of this year, electricity has reached all communes nationwide, with nearly 99 percent of households connected to the national power grid.

Speaking at the year-end conference on Monday to review 2025 performance and outline tasks for 2026, EVN General Director Nguyen Anh Tuan said the group has supplied electricity to 129 remote and isolated villages across 10 provinces and cities in the northern and central regions.

“By December 15, EVN had supplied power to all 129 disadvantaged villages, finishing the task 15 days ahead of the Prime Minister’s directive. We have now completed the power infrastructure across the northern and central regions by December 31 as assigned by the Prime Minister. Mobile network operators are deploying BTS (Base Transceiver Station) to extend signal coverage to these regions,” Tuan said.
