Addressing the 247th US Independence Day reception hosted by US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper in Hanoi on Friday, Minister Hoan said he is impressed by the  theme "National Parks" and emphasized strengthening cooperation in protecting forest resources and natural heritage, and promoting tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

Ambassador Knapper said the US values its Comprehensive Partnership with Vietnam, supports a “strong, independent, self-reliant and prosperous Vietnam,” and wishes to bolster this relationship on the basis of respecting each other's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and political institutions.

The US will continue to pay attention to and allocate resources to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in education, health care, science and technology, and help Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of war, climate change adaptation, and digital transformation, he said.
