Afghan government and Taliban reach peace deal in Moscow

(VOVWORLD) -Russia’s Special Presidential Envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov has said the Afghan officials and Taliban representatives reached an agreement to hold a peace negotiation in Moscow with the participation of twelve regional countries, Afghanistan’s Ariana News reported.  

Kabulov said that he had talked with Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Nasir Ahmad Andisha and the preparation for the talk is on the way.

The Afghan Foreign Ministry refused to comment on the news but emphasized that no decision has been made regarding the peace talks in Russia. The Ministry said that Kabul will praise the efforts of any country that work to bring peace in Afghanistan and it’s important is that peace talks should be led by Afghans.
