Vietnam’s vessel 016-Quang Trung and naval forces from other countries rehearsed boarding operations, protection of key installations, codes for unplanned encounters, shared information to track vessels-of-interest, and conducted helicopter cross-deck landings. The military exercise began in the Republic of Korea’s Busan on April 30 and Vietnam joined exercise on Wednesday.
The ADMM-Plus is a platform for ASEAN and its eight Dialogue Partners – Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Russia and the US – to strengthen security and defense cooperation.
