(VOVworld)- Street vendors in 3 cities along the Economic Corridors through Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam will have opportunities to access micro credits through a non-refundable aid package worth 2.5 million USD from Japan’s Fund for the poor. The Asian Development Bank announced the aid package in Hanoi on Wednesday. Florian Steinberg, Senior Expert in Urban Development of the ADB’s Southeast Asian Department said that under the project, female vendors will be supplied with stalls in newly-built markets and have access to local child care services ensuring that they can earn their living safely. The three small markets will be built in Batambang (Cambodia), Kayson Phomvihan (Laos) and Dong Ha (Vietnam).
