Street festival launched in Hanoi |
(VOVworld)- Hanoi’s Youth Union on Sunday organized the 2nd Street Festival in response to the movement “I love Hanoi” and the “Youth Voluntary Year- 2014”. The festival attracted more than 500 young people participating in various sports and cultural activities. Tran Anh Tuan is Vcie Secretary of Hanoi’s Youth Union and Chief Organizer of the Festival: “We are very happy because more than 500 young people have registered to participate in 5 competitions and 10 performances. This will make our street festival a success. I hope that this play ground will bring fun for the youths in the city”.
More than 1,000 youth union members in Ho Chi Minh City will attend the Vietnam Youths Festival 2014. Meanwhile, Quang Ngai’s Youth Union organized a blood donation drive, provided free health treatment and medicines for the poor and assisted poor people and students. Quang Ngai young people also assisted in upgrading irrigation and transport systems and repairing houses for disadvantaged people.
