Activities to protect children are underway

To mark the occasion, 50 scholarships and 50 bicycles were presented to local disadvantaged children. Organizations and individuals donated more than 21,000 USD to the provincial Fund for Children Protection.

At the launch of the Action Month for Children, leaders of Ha Tinh province asked relevant agencies to strengthen inspection the enforcement of the legislations on children. They called for more care and support for disadvantaged, poor, disabled children and those in ethnic, mountain, remove areas.

Ninh Thuan province is focused on improving entertainment activities for children by enhancing culture and sports activities and organizing clubs and forums on issues of children's concern.

Local schools will focus on educating children with life skills and engaging them more in school and social activities.
