Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial People's Committee, said that over the last 15 years, Lang Co has attracted a great number of tourists and become a favorite destination for domestic and international tourism investors.
Thua Thien-Hue province has invested in infrastructure development with respect to effectively and sustainably protecting and preserving the natural values and marine environment of Lang Co.
The 15th anniversary of Lang Co being recognized as one of the world's most beautiful bays took place over the past two days with several many events such as a paragliding performance, a “ao dai” or "traditional long dress" performance, a lantern releasing event, a SUP race, a Whale Worship Festival, and a Culinary Festival.
Lang Co Bay is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Vietnam. It’s an almost pristine bay located at the foot of Hai Van Pass. It has a flat beach and a rich ecosystem.
Lang Co Bay is located between Hue city and Da Nang, on the Central Heritage Road of "Phong Nha-Ke Bang – Hue Ancient Capital – Hoi An Ancient Town – My Son Sanctuary" and on the East-West Economic Corridor.
The Club of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World (Worldbays Club) recognized Lang Co Bay as its 30th member at its 5th Summit in Setubal city, Portugal, in May 2009.
