(VOVworld) – Algerian security force have foiled a network which support finance for terrorist groups in Algeria’s cities and provinces.

The Algerian Ministry of National Defense said on Thursday that the network including 4 dangerous people are working to finance terrorist groups in the capital Algiers and other cities like Batna and Borj Bouaririj to buy weapons from Libya for the attacks on security headquarters. In the latest raid, the Algerian army destroyed a terrorist shelter and seized a stock of weapons.

On Thursday, Tunisian security forces wiped out two terrorist groups linked to Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), a jihadist group based in South Africa, in Tunisia’s Northwest. Tunisian Interior Ministry said the first group, including 9 members loyal to Okba Ibn Nafaa of AQIM were arrested in Kef, 175 kilometers East of Tunis. The other group, numbering 5 members, are responsible for providing food and finance to a destroyed terrorist group in Kef. The two groups had planned a number of terrorist groups aimed at commercial centers, the security forces and the ruling Party headquarters in Tunisia.
