99.7% support draft resolution amending 2013 Constitution

(VOVWORLD) - More than 710,000 opinions have been collected on the draft resolution amending and supplementing several articles of the 2013 Constitution, with 99.7% expressing support, according to a preliminary review conference in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien said the consultation process has been conducted in a transparent, democratic, and timely manner, in line with clear guidelines.

More than 6,500 consultation conferences have been held nationwide and the feedback will be compiled and submitted to the Government and the Constitution Amendment Committee for review, he noted. 

Launched on May 6, the consultation drive has become a broad-based political movement across Vietnam.
