Arat Blui, Vice Chairman of Tay Giang district’s People’s Committee, underlined the effort by the local government to zone, manage, and protect these trees over the years. The district plans to expand protection zones and develop eco-tourism initiatives to serve visitors.
Previously, also in Tay Giang district, the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment recognized 1,146 Fokienia trees, 435 rhododendron trees, five ancient banyan trees and one Ford-Manglietia fordiana tree as Vietnam Heritage Trees.
