(VOVworld) – 85 environmental projects have been implemented over the past 10 years, helping raise public awareness about environmental protection.

This was stated at a conference to review 10 years of coordinated efforts to protect the environment for sustainable development, co-organized by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association (VUSTA) and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The participants said international cooperation has not only helped mobilize financial resources but also improved the image of Vietnam, recognizing the contribution made by scientists and technology experts to resolving regional and global environmental issues. Since 2005, the VUSTA has managed to mobilize between 2 and 3 million USD for scientific and technological activities including cooperation in environmental and climate change research.
