(VOVworld) – The drafting committee of revisions to the 1992 Constitution held its 7th session in Hanoi on Saturday to discuss opinions collected at the recent National Assembly session.
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, who is head of the drafting committee said the Constitution must be completed and made public in time: “The Constitution must be approved this October. We will continue to collect public opinions on the revisions from now until September. This is the final phase and I ask committee members to spend more time to review all the contents. I hope that high consensus will be reached between the Party Politburo and the National Assembly.”
Draft revisions to the 1992 Constitutions have been amended and adjusted, but the issues of local administrations and the Constitutional Protection Council still need further discussions.
