(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese athletes performed excellently on the seventh competition day of the 29th SEA Games in Malaysia with seven gold medals in track and field, taekwondo swimming and table tennis.

As of Saturday, Vietnam maintained its second position on the Games’ medal tally with 51 gold medals.

Host Malaysia still led the tournament with 83 golds, followed by Singapore with 46 golds.

Vietnam sent more than 470 athletes to Southeast Asia’s biggest sporting event from August 19-30.
