(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam recorded 68 new local COVID-19 cases Monday noon in six localities, the Ministry of Health announced.

48 cases were in Bac Giang, 12 in Hanoi, 4 in Bac Ninh, 2 in Long An and 1 each in Da Nang and Dak Lak.

The cases in Bac Giang are all linked with outbreaks in local quarantined zones and industrial parks. The cases in Bac Ninh are also associated with existing outbreaks in the province.

The remaining cases in other localities had contact with confirmed coronavirus patients.

The latest cases have brought Vietnam’s total count of COVID-19 infections since Monday morning to 128.

Over a month into the most challenging COVID wave Vietnam has faced, the nation has detected more than 4,100 domestic cases.
