The exhibition, titled “80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness”, will run from August 28 to September 5 at the Vietnam Exposition Center in Hanoi and is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors. It will feature 34 pavilions representing provinces, cities, ministries, and agencies.
“This exhibition will promote Vietnam’s land, people, and achievements to the global community. A large number of visitors are expected,” said Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong.
Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang added that for the first time, overseas Vietnamese will join the military parade and march at Ba Dinh Square on September 2.
“50 overseas Vietnamese from 18 countries and territories are training to take part in the parade. This marks the first time in 80 years that overseas Vietnamese will march in the national celebration,” she said.
