(VOVworld) – Fifty nine outstanding individuals who have made great contributions to the nationwide blood drive were honored at a ceremony in Quang Ngai on Saturday. So far, in the province there have been 300 people who have voluntarily donated blood for seven times or more. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, one of the awardees, said: “through TV and radio, I know many patients who are close to death don’t have blood for treatment. I have encouraged relatives and neighbors to join blood donation. Every year my children and I donate blood for hospitals or participate in blood donation campaigns.”
