Local Fallata leader Mohamed Saleh said a force from the Arab Rizeigat tribe attacked the village of Saadoun inhabited by the Fallata tribe using trucks, motorcycles and camels. The attack left several houses burned, he said.

The violent clashes came just two weeks after the United Nations and the African Union ended their long-running joint peacekeeping mission in the vast Darfur region.
