(VOVworld) – The 3rd Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Women’s Union opened in Hanoi on Sunday. Permanent member of the Party Secretariat Le Hong Anh said that movements launched by the Union have encouraged women nationwide to be united and creative in building happy families, contributing to national construction and defense: “Patriotic emulation movements should be held regularly and linked with the functions and responsibilities of each locality, unit, and individual. Their goals should target happy families, new rural development, and urban civilization.”
Mr. Anh and National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan presented the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit to 66 individuals for their outstanding achievements in recent patriotic emulation movements.
