(VOVworld) – Ben Tre Coconut Festival 2012 ended in Ben Tre city yesterday. The one-week festival attracted crowds of tourists, who marveled at unusual things fashioned from coconuts such as musical instruments made of coconuts, and a 250m road made completely of coconut-derived materials. Trần Anh Tuấn is Deputy Head of the Festival’s Organizing Board: “The Festival introduced the potential of Ben Tre’s coconut industry in three areas: cultivation, processing, and consumption. The festival is an opportunity to bring out practical solutions to improve the competitive capacity of the province’s coconut industry for sustainable development. Through the festival the images of farmers and enterprises are honored.”
