On the sidelines of the third biennial Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in the Hague, the Netherlands, these countries pledged to work closer together, periodically review their sensitive nuclear security regimes, and turn international guidelines on nuclear security into national laws. A number of countries including Israel, Kazakhstan, Morocco, and Turkey also said that they will realize and strengthen the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)’s standards on safeguarding nuclear materials.
