Several Pakistani Taliban detainees overpowered their guards at a counter-terrorism center in northwestern Pakistan last night, snatched police weapons, took hostages, and seized control of the facility.
Pakistani special forces raided the police station to conduct a hostage rescue operation after more than 40 hours of negotiations failed.
