Over the past 24 hours, the world saw more than 719,000 new infection cases and more than 10,000 deaths.
The US remained the world epicenter with 155,000 new cases.
Indonesia recorded the highest daily death toll from COVID-19 with 1,432 deaths, followed by Brazil (926 deaths) and Russia (815 deaths).
In Europe, Britain, France and Russia saw the highest daily number of COVID-19 infected cases with 32,700, nearly 26,500 and 22,000 cases respectively.
Iran, India and Indonesia remained three countries hardest hit by COVID-19 in Asia. The pandemic is getting worse in Thailand, Japan and Malaysia.
Asia saw more than 280,000 new COVID-19 cases and 4,679 deaths over the past 24 hours.
