Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, affirmed the importance of developing a comprehensive, inclusive social welfare system that enhances accessibility for all groups, especially the vulnerable, the disadvantaged, women, and children.
Mr. Dung, who is also Chairman of the National Committee for the Advancement of Women, said creating opportunities for women to participate in, and benefit equally from, all areas of social life is a critical task and one of the Ministry’s top priorities.
The National Action Month for Gender Equality underscores the importance of maintaining social stability, equity, and democracy, and ensuring social welfare, security, and safety for all, particularly women and children, he said.
“I urge all levels, sectors, organizations, media agencies, and the public to join hands, commit, and take practical, effective actions to address this issue,” said Mr. Dung.
The Month of Action for Gender Equality is held annually from November 15 to December 15.
