Each of the next four days will have a theme based on what Vice President Kamala Harris wants to convey to voters – "For the people," "A bold vision for America's future," "A fight for our freedoms”, and “For our future”.

Speakers at the convention will include President Joe Biden, former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. Vice President Kamala Harris will also address the convention.

Delegates to the Convention will vote to formally adopt the Democratic Party's 2024 presidential platform, published in July, which contrasts the party's priorities with those of Donald Trump. The Democratic priorities include raising the federal minimum wage, increasing child tax credits, increasing corporate taxes, and supporting clean energy and reproductive rights.
