(VOVworld) – The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has launched the 2015 Youth month and the 2015 Tet tree planting festival in Kim Binh commune, Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province.

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Nguyen Thien Nhan beat the drum to launch the Youth Month.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Nguyen Thien Nhan, expressed his hopes that young people will continue to follow the fine tradition of predecessors to contribute to national construction and defense. Youth Union Secretary of Chiem Hoa District’s Youth Union Committee Dang Ngoc Sang said: "I’m very honored to take part in the tree-planting festival launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee. This is a practical activity to respond to the tree-planting campaign initiated by President Ho Chi Minh. As a youth union secretary, I always try my best to promote the revolutionary tradition of my homeland”.

A number of activities will be held during the Youth Month which include presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries, revolutionary contributors and granting scholarships to disadvantaged pupils with excellent academic results.
