(VOVworld) – The 2015 Vietnam sea and island week on the theme of “Ocean blue, green planet” will be held from June 1 to June 8. This year’s theme coincides with that of World Oceans Day. The main events will be held in Quang Ngai province. The week is aimed at increasing public awareness of environmental protection and promoting their love for the nation’s sea and islands, contributing to national development and stability. The marine economy is expected to contribute 53-55% of Vietnam’s GDP by 2020.
