With more than 800 booths set up by 200 businesses from Vietnam, China, Thailand, and the Republic of Korea, the fair features industrial, handicraft, agro-forestry-fisheries, and high quality consumption goods. 

Trade fairs are held annually and alternately between Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and Hekou District (Yunnan, China).  Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Truong Giang said: “We hope that the fair and its side activities will make full use of the Kunming-Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong economic corridor and Lao Cai’s potentials, contributing to pushing investment and import-export activities through the Lao Cai-Hekou border gates.” 

The event will continue through this Saturday.
